Profile

I am a creative professional with 7 years of experience in wardrobe and costuming for international musicals and have done over 3 years of wardrobe styling for Tv, Films and TVC.

I have an extensive experience in styling, make-up and apparel design. I am experienced in creative conceptualisation in response to specific client briefs, scripts and client management. 
I am highly adept at coordinating events and (surprisingly for a creative) doing up excel sheets. I enjoy hands-on creative pursuits which includes various DIY crafts and creating outfits and accessories from scratch. Additionally , I also have a passion for web design and content creation.

May 2018 - Current

Costume Designer / Wardrobe Stylist

In 2018, I went into the Film and Tv industry as a wardrobe stylist. I was put in charge of conceptualising character’s images and styles for Tv and movies. As main stylist, I had to come up with proposal decks I also work closely with the casts, production teams and director teams. I am highly involved in the entire process - from conceptualisation to execution. I became adept at sourcing for various props and materials, managing logistics and even putting together bespoke outfits when the need arose.

Assistant Stylist

I also assist Xindi Xiau, Sebrina Simone and Wilson Eng on TVC shoots. As an assistant stylist, my main responsibilities include sourcing for wardrobe, doing all the pre-shoot preparation work (including styling and mood boards) and being on set to dress the talents and assists throughout shoots. Beyond sourcing for items in physical stores. I am adept at combing through obscure online retailers and producers to find one-of-a-kind pieces. Notable clients I have worked with to date include Marigold, NXT magazine, Sentosa, KFC and Great Eastern.

Wardrobe Dresser

As a wardrobe dresser for musicals, I worked on a project basis with Base Entertainment Asia for international productions that tour throughout each year. I have an extensive experience in maintaining costumes. The nature of the job demanded inventive problem solving skills and being able to think on my feet to rectify any wardrobe issues that would occur mid-show (broken heels and ripped costumes are common issues faced). To date I have 28 shows under my belt which includes Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Annie and The Sound of Music.
